May is the very best time to visit this 7-acre rhododendron garden and shop the nursery. This garden/nursery sits
on the shore of Hoods Canal. The garden is home to many ancient rhododendron hybrids and species that are like
small trees with hundreds of blossoms. There is also an incredible array of beautiful landscape azaleas,
kalmias, camellias and shrubs as well as magnolias, maples, conifers and katsura trees. Club members then enjoyed
lunch at the Halfway House, a local restaurant known for fresh seafood and homemade pies.
