Rain did not ruin the day or sales at the 2018 SPGC Spring Plant & Garden Sale. We broke all previous sales records with a large array of
trees, shrubs, perennials, veggies, annuals, houseplants, garden art and baked goods. Trees and plants spilled outside the clubhouse,
into the park. The 600 tomato starts that Arlene Sawyer and Roy Haralson grew in Roy’s green house were a huge success. The weeks of
preparation for the sale paid off. A big thank you to all involved. The raffle also brought in a record amount with generous donations
from community businesses, restaurants and clubs. Raffle sponsors included the Sunbonnet Sue Quilter’s Club, Costco, Sears, Swains,
Field Notes, Purple Haze Lavender Co., New Dungeness Nursery, Sunny Farms, Co-Op Farm & Garden Store, Oak Table, Moon Palace, Galare
Thai, & Tedesco’s Italian Fresh.
