On May 7th, Sequim Prairie Garden Club presented club member Arlene Sawyer the Washington State Federation of
Garden Club Life Member Award. She has been an active member since 2011 and has taken on the mantle of Park Chairman
for Pioneer Memorial Park. SPGC manages and maintains this 4-acre park and Arlene fulfills the task of coordinating park
grounds activities that include organizing garden club member work parties and any hired maintenance. She has been
instrumental in developing new garden bed designs and plantings. She has been invaluable in organizing our plant sales.
She works tirelessly and can be seen in the park, rain or shine.
