Designed by Club Member Ester DeWeese and her husband Mike
|
Our own talented Ester DeWeese and her husband Mike designed and built this beautiful barn quilt that now hangs on the wall of the
green pumphouse in Pioneer Memorial Park on the west side. Barn quilts were used by early settlers to decorate barns or
symbolize good luck. Ester painted the center tree design and lettering, then she and her husband cut, painted and assembled
the unique quilt. Brent Larson of Dungeness Glass of Carlsborg donated his time to install the polycarbonate protector
over the artwork. The protector was purchased through club members’ donations.
